Local Knowledge

On the southern tip of the Baja California Peninsula, lies the legendary sun-drenched beach vacation hot spot that is Los Cabos. The region includes two distinct hubs, the lively Cabo San Lucas and the quieter San José del Cabo – that are separated by 33 kilometres of silky golden sand beaches, lined with excellent resorts, specialty hotels and luxe private villas.

San José del Cabo (or simply San José), is a charming colonial town that just so happens to entertain a number of beautiful resorts, hotels and a multitude of exquisite restaurants serving up world-class cuisine. San José also boasts a wonderful arts district made up of historical buildings that are home to a variety of boutique shops, trendy art galleries and fine restaurants.

There are many peaceful plots to be found in Cabo San Lucas (nicknamed Cabo), especially along the coast. In fact, there are several renowned spa resorts here that offer innovative treatments and utter relaxation. Cabo San Lucas also boasts the beautiful Land's End (or El Arco), a distinctive set of large rock formations just off the coast, complete with its own stunning beach and striking arch.
